This 1 week course is fantastic,
even Daryl and myself enjoyed it a lot..

So we decided to put her in Julia Gabriels
for 2010. Managed to get her a place..
Was on waiting list with Queue no 30+

She's only 15 mths and
I Have to start queuing for school..

Finally got chance to blog again...
Its always the photos that's very tedious to upload
and blogger.com only allows 5 multiple uploads at a time.
Why can't the uploading system be like Facebook,
can tick the entire folder..
Nonetheless, I will still continue to blog
for people who like Chelsia & me

Winter time!
Went shopping with my hunz who is in Hongkong now
enjoying the 10deg Celsius climate..
So I also let Chelsia try on some winter gear..

Then since it was also a cold, wet day.
So we went for laksa steamboat to warm our bodies..

The restaurant is next to Morse Road,
beside a Fragrance Hotel.
Somewhere before Harbourfront MRT.

Waiting for the laksa soup to boil.
Actually this was my 2nd time in a week eating there.
Initially when I heard about laksa steamboat,
I was like Yucks!
How can laksa go with anything else except taupok?
Imagining cooking the beef shabu in tat laksa soup,
will be nice meh??

Let me tell you,
it's super duper very bery nice!

Many attractions were closed down

By 11am, we were super bored cos nothing much to see or do..
We asked for refund and we checked out..

So sad right..

Then we thought of going to Rasa Sentosa!
We called at 12noon to reserve
and we made our way there after we checked out at Kranji,
reached at 1pm!

TRUE HAPPINESS...

We were all so hungry

Where when she's at Kranji, she can only be strapped to the stroller

Daryl went first while I took care of Chelsia,
after his turn was mine..
73 storeys, while waiting for him to climb,
I was wondering how am I going to do it
when its my turn..
I never train, somemore heavy and fat,
how to climb finish..
But I'm always like that, whenever I see Daryl sign up,
I also wanna sign up..
Then on the day of event,
always so scared..

I was feeling bored while waiting for Daryl to finish
so I decorated her..

Ok my turn next.. I'm in green, can see me?
Don't really like to wear event tee on the event day cos
I'll just look like everyone else..

Time to go!
So I went into the stair well..
Slowly walk step by step,
took 18+mins to reach the top..
2 years ago, I took 16+ mins..
And I must do better next year!

The Episode of Lizard Traps

Recently, I discovered that my kitchen has these irritating creatures crawling around and shitting everywhere... So angry when I wake up in the morning and have to clean their shit..

So I have to think of some ways to deal with them.
And I bought lizard traps!!!
Sticky paper that sticks them when they come near...

Hahhaha this 1 got trapped..
But who is going to clear the trap with lizard??

He's scared!!!!!!!

Time for family activities again!

We were deciding whether to skate or let Chelsia play sand..
But if we skate, Chelsia only can sit there and look..
But if only play sand, Daryl and I will be bored..
So we combined!
Parked at a faraway free carpark in ECP,
then we skated to the Castle Beach near the Hawker Centre.
Took off our skates and Chelsia can play!

The previous time she didn't dare to crawl on the sand..
Now this time she dared to move around on her own.

She's so happy crawling around..

Found a piece of leaf and she gave it to me..
So cute, she liked crawling on the sand and
when I want to carry her, she zoomed off and I had to chase..

This is the third monday after the maid left. Been so occupied with chores and didn't have the time to blog.

Still manageable for me, I'll just do the chores when Chelsia naps in the afternoon.

A typical day would be like this:

8am- Chelsia wakes and have breakfast while I prepare her lunch
9am- Skating @ ECP then lunch
12noon - Home to bathe Chelsia and she naps
1pm-Clean the house, wash dishes, do laundry, prepare Chelsia's dinner.
4pm-Chelsia wakes. Have a snack and go gaigai.
6pm-Dinner
8pm-Home, Chelsia bathes
9+pm-Chelsia goes to sleep.

After which I can wash dishes, milk bottles and bathe myself then sleep.
Multi-tasking is the key word.
Also thanks to my good pals for doing a good job.
-Delphin vacuum cleaner
-Tefal 3 tier steamer
-Samsung washing machine
-Dryer
Also, Daryl and my mil who help me out with some things at times. So without a maid I still survive.

Today is a kind of off day for me cos the part time maid is here to help me out. Tat's why I have time to blog using my handphone, which means not many pictures I can upload.

What's happening in my life now..

Just sacked my maid
Looking for renovation ideas
Doing housework & taking care of Chelsia

1. When Chelsia started to reject the maid, I didn't find it strange at all. But after awhile the rejection reaction is soo strong then it set me thinking. So I think she must have bullied Chelsia in some way cos Chelsia is friendly to anyone, even the Auntie downstairs she also let her carry. So MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG..

Decided not to have a maid anymore as she is quite redundant. When she is around, I'm so free until dunno wat to do in the afternoons. Basically just facebook & chat all day.. Since I'm not lactating anymore, I decided not to have her, save $ for reno also.
So I checked with her whether she want a transfer or go home, she chose to go home. So no more maid.

2. New house will TOP in 2010. Rumours say 1st quarter, 2nd quarter, 3rd quarter, 4th quarter.. Whatever it is, such rumours do make me happy for the moment.. So sourcing for ID (interior design) firms now but ID = cost more for the designing. Looking for reno ideas myself then maybe get a contractor and I'll be the ID myself..

I like this TV feature wall with lotsa storage..
But no open shelf for me cos dust will restttt...

Shoe cabinet...
I like the empty space in between cos
when you take off your shoes, you sure
need to put down your keys, bags or handphone, etc..
But of cos I would a Bio metric door like
my BFF Gabby's house..

Many storage space at the bedside table too..
And since its built all the way down..
No need to sweep the bottom..

But then all these are just ideas,
not what my house will look like...

3. The maid left on sunday and I started doing housework on Monday. So I took out my very good vaccuum cleaner to clean the room and the house. Wah very very good, the 1st day I vaccuum, very dirty.. Then subsequently the 2nd day, not so dirty anymore, means WHAT WAS THE MAID DOING ALL ALONG?

I also mopped the floor, small house very easy, did laundry.. I finished the chores so fast, last time the maid must mo 1 whole day.. Then quality still not to my expectation but since she's taking care of my baby, I seldom 'hiam' or scold her.. But then she is not so nice to my precious baby already.. So off you go, bye bye...

Poor Chelsia...

Chelsia had fever for the since Sunday
So Monday brought her to see the PD.
Had a gruelling time at the clinic cos must test urine
then gotta collect urine, paste the urine bag on her 'down there',
she cried.

But the urine bag keep dropping, paste 3 times cry 3 times..
after that she see the examining table only she scared, also cry..
Keep clapping her hands when she cry on the examining table,
indicating that she wans 'bao bao' by clapping.
Then the urine bag din managed to collect any urine,
the PD did an urine extraction procedure (poke 'down there' to let urine flow out)
she cry n cry also.

Then came back home had fever for Monday and Tuesday,
so medication was alternate Panadol syrup and the 'put backside' medicine.
She cried and cried when I put the bullet into the anus.
So poor thing, after I change diaper for her only,

she also tot I'm gonna do something to her, cry also..
Wednesday, no more fever but she was only awake
for 5 hours the whole day.

Today she got rashes on the body so went to see the PD,
the virus she kena is actually called False Measles (roseola).
So after rashes come out, means ok already.
Now she's recovering..

Give thanks to the Lord..

What is roseola?

Roseola is an infection caused by a virus.

The infection is common in children aged 6 to 24 months.

It is rare in children younger than 4 months or older than 4 years.

What are the symptoms of roseola?

Roseola starts out with a fever. After several days, the fever disappears and a rash appears, mainly on the child's face and body. The rash consists of small red spots which last for a day or two. Most children are not very sick during the fever stage of the infection.

It is difficult to diagnose roseola until the rash has appeared.

A physician can tell if the child's fever is due to roseola or some other more serious infection.

How is roseola transmitted?

Roseola is not very infectious. It is not known how it spreads from person to person. Children with roseola get better without any treatment and complications are very rare

Chelsia's Lunar Birthday Celebration
at Great Grandmother's Hse

Since Chelsia's birthday falls under the Lunar 7th month,
my grandmother suggested that we do it on
her Lunar birthday which is 八月初十二

and we did it on a Saturday 初八.

To make it special for Chelsia,
I set up a playground for her..

And to differentiate it from any other family gathering,
I put up banner to show that
it's Chelsia's birthday party..

Zoo Trip #2

Although it's a PH on 21 Sep but
the reservist ppl decides to have exercise on Monday instead..
So Friday was Daryl's public holiday..

We go to the zoo again!

What's a Guanaco?
It's called 骆马
So shud be mixed breed of 骆驼 (camel) + 马 (horse)
Nowadays animals also got Eurasians 1..
In a way also good, add more variety to the zoo
instead of the same boring animals..

The poor Polar bear in the hot Singapore..

Suddenly it drizzled..

So we open the weather shield for the first time!

This is so cool, further confirmed our decision
to buy this jogger was a very good one..

Little window for me to give her snacks..

Surprisingly, it's designed in such a way that
it's well ventilated and Chelsia will not be hot in it..
*She did not fuss or sweat*

Conclusion, things that Mothercare sell are definitely good..
Cos if not good, they dun sell..
Well, at least in my opinion...

Tri-factor Series: Triathlon

My first mini triathlon..

This event is like tat, it's a series of 4 races.
First a swim, then a bike race, then a run,
the last is the triathlon where you combine all of which you had done..

So beginning of the year, I signed up for all 4..
Only $120 or so, somewhere around there..
Cheap or not?? In the end, I got 5 t shirts, 2 swim caps
and did 4 events..

Ok so 13 Sep 09 finally arrived!!

The transition area..
Last time only saw Daryl from outside the transition area
at Aviva 70.3 Ironman.. Now I can also go into a transitition area leh..

my running shoe bag + wet bag for dirty stuff and
a big pink bag for clean stuff but the most important
function of that bag is to add to the
color coordination of my transition area..

Ok why do you think I got so much space to hang 3 bags?
Cos I'm very lucky to get the end of the rack..
See the distance between me and my neighbour
is further than the rest..
*So thankful*

BUT my swim cap is not pink,
so sad...

Race Starts!
No time for pictures..Narration only..

First is the 200m metre swim, short short only..
Managed to do it within 10mins..

Second is the 10km bike ride,
also not too bad. Had a powergel before I go..
10km actually not very far, really..
If you go cycling on ECP often,
it's from fort rd end to safra end
Anyway this part of the transition was captured on tv,

this fri 18/9 10pm on Ch 5..

Third is the 2.4km run,
happily came back to put my bike and change my shoes,
was running out of transition, ^&%^#$%@@*
CRAMP!!!!! on my left thigh
Sat down on the ground to stretch twice..
Then I was thinking, oh no, after so much prep,
I'm gonna to walk my 2.4km?
NO WAY..
So I just run after walking abit,
thank God, no more cramp..
But feel abit tired.. So I am going to activate
the magic of my Powergel..
Drink some water to activate it..
Hmm It works well! Didnt walk anymore, just run n run..

Reach the finish line, so happy!!
Ok now I can go walk walk n see ppl already...

So I went back to transition to pack my stuff,
and there I saw Daryl coming in from his bike ride..

Faster take out camera to snap, he wears his knee guard..

Puts on his shoes, no socks 1..
Cos they wanna faster..
So the professionals wear cycling shoes & running shoes
without socks..

Hahha this time he remembers to take out his helmet..
Have you ever seen anyone running with his helmet on?

It's a 1.5 hour session when you just pay $12.50
and you can just play the toys in the room..
Non-members also can go and play..
Not a baby class, just the angmoh mothers gathering to talk
and the babies just play around..

Chelsia's bdae party just happened over the weekend..
But we celebrated earlier as Daddy will be in reservist training
on her actual day..

Had a hard time thinking of what kind of party
to organise for her initially..
Chalet? Catering? Function Rm?
Meaningless for her since only the adults
will be catching up and every1 will just say 3 things
after looking at her..

"Ai yoh, so fast 1 year old liao! That time still baby leh"
"Wah, she's so cute"
"When are you having the 2nd one?"

So means if I have 20 guests, I will have to answer 20 times..
Which is 60 sentences to the above questions..
So must as well I hang a tag around me with
all the above answers..

Then I wanted to plan something which
she will enjoy during the moment..
Even though she wun remember,
but at least she was happy during the process..
Dun say she's 1 year old she dun remember,
I also can't remember what I did on my 21st birthday party..
*Do you remember yours?*

So we had a party at Gymboree,
had a hard time looking for 10 kids to come..
Cos the party package deal for was 10 kids (including Chelsia),
means u have 7 or 8 kids u also pay the same amount..
So I find and find..
In the end I found 12 kids..
Then 2 kids no call no show on that day,
so I'm still left with 10 kids..

*Thanks to all that attended, Chelsia was really happy*

I have to let the salesman to come my hse and do a Delphin demo..
And after his demo, we were convinced by its functions
but took a long time to be convinced to spend $3ooo on this machine.

After 2 days of using it, it's good..
It removes dustmites from your mattress and
acts as an indoor air purifier..

House dust mites
are microscope bugs that live on dead skin cells
shed from humans and their animal pets.

Yesterday was 七月初七 which was
Valentine Day in the lunar calendar..

So Daryl and I decided to go pah toh,
we chose the classic date approach..

Movie + Fast food + MRT

Den of course must chose a very pah-tohy place
PLAZA SING was the choice..

So we took MRT from Braddell and
had Carl Juniors for dinner..
Bought a nachos set from GV and went into the cinema..

The movie got 3 parts so got 3 short stories..
Very local stuff..
5 Stars for the show..
Damn funny..

If you understand Hokkien, it's a must watch..
But must go with some1 you can hug,
that's the whole purpose of ghost shows right?

So young girls, if a guy dates u to a horror show,
better find out clearly his intention.. LOLz

I bought a new bookshelf extension from Ikea,
cos I wanna fill it with Chelsia's books..
But board books are so expensive..

So I got my ic, daryl's ic and
I made a loan card for Chelsia!

Each account can borrow up to 6 books!!

So at any point of time, my bookshelf will have
18 books for Chelsia and myself!
Great idea to save $ and the books also be the same all the time..

Duno issit I suaku or wat..
First time u borrow books from library,
got encouragement gift..
A recycle bag for u to carry books home..
LOLz

Last day @ Kindermusik..

Decided to switch Chelsia to Gymboree Music instead..
Cos I cannot see eye to eye with
Kindermusik admin policy..

This was Chelsia's teacher..
She was great, fantastic, fabulous..
Really made to teach small small children..

We love Teacher Janice...

Dinner outing at ECP

Though I always go ECP but this is 1 part that I nv go before..
Sooo deprived lor,

everytime skate past can only smell and
pretend to be crab using my hands...

But this day, my fil say give us a treat,
so we chose this place to 'kuto' him..

Jumbo, here I come......

Everytime I can only look from far and smell...

Fil is picture shy, so he took for us..

U know Jumbo provides bib when u eat chilli crab?
Though Chelsia nv eat the chilli crab but
we asked 1 for her..
The girl so nice, tie for her..

Daddy can't wait to go cycling after the shoot...

After the smiling scenes, she had to do a frustrated scene..
So we have to make her cry..
Take away her play things, she just go and play other things..

So we attempted to scold her..
Both Daryl and I scold and scold until
Chelsia cry SOOOO Loud..
But must continue scolding cos camera is rolling
and it's a good take..
So the crying scene well taken,
no need NG..
Chelsia so poor thing.. We so heart pain!

NATIONAL DAY LONG WEEKEND

7 Aug (FRI): My Papa's birthday!

Went back to visit him and bought
a cake for him to blow candles..

Happy 53rd Birthday, Daddy..

See, Chelsia is up to some mischief..
She's going into Ting ting ah yi's room..

Hehe, conquered the bed..

Bye bye..

So now we head back home,
the Haenim Play yard arrived at 7pm..

YIPEEE!!

Chelsia has a new place to play now...

8 Aug (SAT): Singapore Calendar Babies 2010!

Thanks to all the well wishes..
Chelsia got a consolation prize..
But will still be appearing in the calendar..

Desaru Trip to the Fruit Farm & Sungei Renggit!

3 cars including our car set off that day at 6am..

Yea, Chelsia just woke up in her PJs..
Had her breakfast on the car in JB..
